I STILL play this game. That should speak volumes of the gameplay that existed back around 2000 (I played the PSO EP1 on Dreamcast - but my DC is quite toast, so the GC version suffices!). The random loot, Mag raising, customizing your character via materials, shooting aliens over and over again (and over!), and the fun of online with others is only part of what makes this game enjoyable.

If you can find an old copy sitting around, a friend with a PSO server or download one yourself (it's been reverse engineered), and an urge for dungeon-like crawling through areas to kill things and get their stuff in a 3rd person format, then give it a go!
